MRA Board Announces Key Leadership Appointments to Drive Growth and Transformation

The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) Board of Directors has announced the appointment of two seasoned professionals to key leadership positions, effective August 20, 2024.

Mr Daniel Dominic Daka has been appointed as the new Commissioner General.

With over 20 years of management experience as a seasoned tax legal practitioner, Mr Daka brings invaluable expertise in legal affairs and tax administration. He assumes this position after serving as Director of Legal Services in the Ministry of Finance since 2022.

Mr Douglas Katchomoza has been appointed as the new Executive Director, Corporate Services.

With over 20 years of experience in Customs management, Mr Katchomoza possesses a deep understanding of Customs operations and strategic management, which will greatly benefit MRA as it advances its strategic objectives.

These appointments demonstrate the Board’s commitment to driving the organization forward during this critical period of growth and transformation.

The Board extends its congratulations to the two on their new appointments and wishes them every success in their roles.
